VISIT TO 10 DOWNING STREET
12.25PM - 11th March 2004
by Jacques More

|
The time booked was 12PM and this was to hand over a letter in person to the
door of the UK Prime Minister's Office and Residence. |
Due to the tragic news of the day of train explosions in Madrid, the Foreign
Secretary - the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP - spoke to TV news networks in
front of number 10 at noon. |
Below are pictures of the day and contents of the letters involved. The
other main enclosed article was The
Impossibility of Evolution. |

Right Hon. A. Blair MP |

11th March 2004 |
|
Dear Prime Minister, |
|
On the 25th April 2002 I wrote to you enclosing a new article quoting Isaac
Newton, Michael Faraday and William Thomson (Lord Kelvin) as great British
scientists who rejected evolution as a viable scientific theory (a direct
support for creation in Newton's case). |
|
Today I enclose a new article wherein I make a case for rejecting evolution
altogether. |
|
I therefore request again as per my first letter that a royal commission be
set up or some such like serious investigation be undertaken to cover a full
review of the education of the sciences involved with evolutionary theory.
Evolution and associated ideas should be portrayed as a belief of many
scientists, but not as fact. |
|
Equally the issue of public funding scientific research and of the national
collection at the Natural History Museum should reflect a more balanced spectrum
of current scientific thinking in view of thousands of scientists rejecting
evolution as a valid interpretation of the facts. |
|
In tandem with this letter therefore I have written to the Director of the
Natural History Museum Sir Neil Chalmers and also the current acting head of the
BBC Mr Mark Byford and enclose copies. |
|
Thank you for your considered attention. |
|
Yours sincerely, |
|

11th March 2004 |
|
Dear Mr Byford, |
|
I am writing to you as the current acting head of the BBC. I am also writing
to the Prime Minister the Right Hon. A. Blair and the Director of the Natural
History Museum Sir Neil Chalmers. |
|
The subject of this letter involves the regular portrayal by numerous
programmes of the BBC that (the scientific theory of) evolution is a fact, that
dinosaurs were millions of years old, never co-existed with man and other
related matters. |
|
I explain in the accompanying article which I have assembled the
impossibility of evolution and that it is also now a theory to which thousands
of scientists object. |
|
I believe it is high time therefore this matter be investigated in terms of
seeing evolution no longer portrayed as fact but just beliefs and faith
statements by a group of like minded scientists. |
|
Would you please consider informing BBC producers of news, nature and other
non-fiction format programmes that any evolutionary related remarks be presented
as beliefs and not fact or that a statement to this effect be scripted in the
credits at the end of any programme containing such related remarks? |
|
Thank you for your considered attention. |
|
Yours sincerely, |
|

The Director |
Sir Neil Chalmers |
The Natural History Museum |

|
11th March 2004 |
|
Dear Sir Neil, |
|
I am writing to you as head of the natural History Museum. I am also writing
to the Prime Minister the Right Hon. A. Blair and the acting Director General of
the BBC Mr Mark Byford. |
|
The subject of this letter relates to the presentation and information
coming from the museum in regards to (the scientific theory of) evolution, the
age of dinosaurs and related matters. |
|
As I now quote from my accompanying article you will see my concern for
contradictory information released by the museum: |
|
"I wrote to the Natural History Museum, London last year and was
told the age of a dinosaur is known from the age of the strata in which the
bones are dug up. But, later in the correspondence I was then told '[a strata's
age] is characterised by their associated fossils in
sedimentary rock.' Strange how the fossil's age is determined by the
strata's assumed age which in turn is recognised by the type of fossil found in
it!" |
|
In view of the full contents of the article I request that a review of the
information and collection plans of the museum be instigated. Particularly as
follows: |
In regards to statements based on evolutionary theory that
these should be accurately depicted as beliefs of scientists and not as fact. |
In regards to the collection of the museum that it should
reflect the evidence for man co-existing with dinosaurs: with photos of cave
drawings and examples of the Peru burials stones with drawings of triceratops,
stegosaurus, pterosaurs, etc and the Mexican early Chupicauro Indian clay
figurines of dinosaurs.
|
In my view this is a reasonable and appropriate requirement when thousands
of scientists worldwide reject evolution as fact and the NHM, as a great British
institute that receives public funds, should indeed reflect all these things in
an unbiased manner covering a proper spectrum of scientific thinking. |
|
Thank you for your considered attention. |
|
Yours sincerely, |
|

This is our walking past the gate and the security search up to the Press
area and number 10. |
Our only photo of Jeanet Christie (in the red coat). |
Jeanet is in touch with Christian MPs and Prayer for the nations.
This is Andrew Forbes, Gary Pattimore and me in front of number 10. |
Andrew has been a regular campaigner on the issues in hand.
|

|
This is Andrew and me after the letter had been handed over.
This is Gary Pattimore as we were leaving. A good shot of Downing Street
and, on the far left can be seen the Press in the distance. Gary is an
Administrator at Emmanuel Christian Centre, Walthamstow.
