Jesus said,
. . . Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are white for harvest!
|
John 4:35
|
And,
. . . The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
|
Luke 10:2
|
The harvest is there for the taking. But the laborers are few. Now, if this is still true, then what is God's position on this?
Jesus also said,
. . . make disciples of all the nations . . . teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you . . .
|
Matthew 28:19-20
|
Now, it follows that whoever is a believer, in observing all that Jesus has commanded needs in turn to make disciples.
Since this is commanded to be observed. And since,
. . . the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
|
Romans 11:29
|
It follows that God has not changed in how He wants the harvest to occur. So, let's restate the way things are:
The world is ready - the fields are white unto harvest.
God is ready - His mind has not changed. God:
. . . desires all men to be saved . . . is . . . not willing that any should perish . . .'For I have no pleasure in the death of . . . the wicked' . . . says the Lord GOD . . . |
1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 18:32, 23 |
What's missing?
The Church is not ready.
So what is God saying?
Revival - The Battleplan is an answer.
This visionary look at the issue came to light as separate articles arising out of a heart hungry to see revival and true unity in the Body of Christ. Hungry to see the Father's heart revealed in the Church and in the world.
As with all prophecy this is offered as follows to the reader. Paul said,
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.
|
1 Thessalonians 5:19-21
|
He also said,
Let . . . prophets speak, and let the others judge.
|
1 Corinthians 14:29
|
The reason for this is that he knew that,
. . . we know in part and we prophesy in part.
|
1 Corinthians 13:9
|
As to prophecy being still an active gift he also said,
. . . when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away . . . For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
|
1 Corinthians 13:10, 12
|
When that which is perfect has come Paul says he shall know just as he also is known. This is not something which has yet happened generally. For those who see the Lord now face to face it may be, but not for the rest of us here on earth. And thus we know from this that knowledge and prophecy will remain in part until that Day. It also must not be forgotten that at no time is a prophecy a supplanter of Scripture, but instead to be doubted if not in line with the Word.
This visionary writing is commended to you for testing and for use forasmuch as you are to 'hold fast what is good'.
